Here at Children's Castle, we share a strong bond of Christian faith. We instill Godly values in our pupils, encouraging them to become more Christ-like in their daily lives.
Here in central Ohio, we are so amazingly blessed, aren't we? As each new season arrives with all its glory, I marvel at how amazing God is, and wonder, "how did I get so lucky?" Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with my wonderful family, for good health, for our country, and for guiding and directing me day by day.
How can I give back? One thing that Jim and I and our children have done is have a "block ministry." We have reached-out to other people who live on our block with assistance. For example, we frequently help to cut and remove fallen trees after storms, we have mowed elderly neighbors' lawns, we've baked holiday treats and left them as surprises on doorsteps, we've walked neighbors' dogs, and other services. And you know what? Each time, we always feel just as blessed as the people we're serving! It is a blessing to bless others!
There are also local needs right here in central Ohio. Giving back can mean volunteering one night a month at a local soup kitchen, or helping out in the nursery at your church on Sunday mornings, or spending one Saturday per year picking up trash at a local park, or becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, or spending time with an elderly neighbor, or another worthy endeavor.
If you feel blessed, then I encourage you to pray about how the Lord may call you to be a blessing to others or to your community.
In Christ,
